Dr. Gvozden is a Pediatrician with over 40 years of clinical experience in private practice. In addition, he has been part of the faculty at the University of Maryland, teaching and lecturing to residents and medical students.
Throughout the years, Dr. Gvozden developed a vast experience diagnosing and treating ADHD and Orthostatic Intolerance. His goal for the consulting practice is to help providers and families with diagnosis, education, treatment options, and, when appropriate, medication management for those conditions.
Dr. Gvozden will also help with the management of the frequent co-existing conditions that occur with ADHD, such as Autism, Anxiety, Depression, and Oppositional Behaviors.
As a consulting practice, his goal is to return patients to the care of their primary care provider once feasible.
ADHD
(Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder)
This common condition, if left unaddressed, can cause significant short- and long-term negative consequences for children and their families. Treatment can be challenging due to the high prevalence of coexisting conditions such as autism, anxiety, learning disabilities, and oppositional behaviors.
POTS
(Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome) -
Orthostatic Intolerance/Chronic Fatigue
In addition to ADHD, Dr. Gvozden has significant experience diagnosing and treating adolescents and young adults with POTS, often complicated by chronic fatigue. There is a shortage of physicians with the experience and expertise to treat these conditions. Dr. Gvozden offers patients in our community access to diagnostic and treatment resources, often making a visit to a tertiary care center unnecessary.
Dr. Gvozden does not participate in any health insurance plans. A form containing the visit codes and charges can be provided if a patient wants to submit to their insurance company. He will gladly consider patients’ financial constraints on a case-by-case basis.
